Newly Opened Cafe Amazon at Sunway Carnival Mall

Penang's vibrant culinary scene has recently welcomed a new addition - Cafe Amazon(คาเฟ่ อเมซอน/கஃபே அமேசான்)  , a well-known Thai coffee chain. With its roots firmly established in Thailand (தாய்லாந்து)  , Cafe Amazon (คาเฟ่ อเมซอน/கஃபே அமேசான்) has gained popularity for its unique blend of coffee (காப்பி) and diverse beverage offerings. As a devoted coffee enthusiast, I couldn't resist the opportunity to explore the newly opened branch at Sunway Carnival Mall (சன்வே கார்னிவல் மால்). The outlet located at the first floor. 

Eager to sample the best of what Cafe Amazon (คาเฟ่ อเมซอน/கஃபே அமேசான்)  had to offer, I decided on a trio of beverages – the Hot Latte Amazon (வேகவைத்த பாலுடன் காபி) , Iced Amazon Extra (குளிர்ந்த அமேசான் எக்ஸ்ட்ரா), and Iced Thai Milk Tea (குளிர்ந்த தாய் பால் தேநீர்) . My expectations soared as I anticipated the unique flavors that Thai coffee is known for.

1. Hot Latte Amazon(வேகவைத்த பாலுடன் காபி) 

Regrettably, the hot latte fell short of expectations. The bitterness overwhelmed my palate, making it challenging to finish. While I appreciate a robust coffee, the intensity of this particular blend proved to be too much.

2. Iced Thai Milk Tea (குளிர்ந்த தாய் பால் தேநீர்)

The sweetness was overpowering, and the balance between tea and condensed milk seemed skewed. It lacked the authentic charm I had experienced in Thailand's local markets.

3. Iced Amazon Extra (குளிர்ந்த அமேசான் எக்ஸ்ட்ரா)

The redemption came in the form of the Iced Amazon Extra. This refreshing concoction managed to strike the right chord. The balance of flavors, coupled with the icy sensation, made it a standout choice. A delightful escape from the disappointments of the previous sips.

In the midst of my Thai coffee exploration, I couldn't help but reminisce about my timeless favorite – the Cow Milk Bru Coffee (பசுவின் பால் புரூ காபி)  from Indian restaurants (இந்திய உணவகம்). The rich aroma and perfect harmony of milk and coffee have set an unmatched standard for my coffee cravings. Cafe Amazon (คาเฟ่ อเมซอน/கஃபே அமேசான்)  , though a commendable attempt, still lingers in the shadow of this beloved Indian brew.
